Let me start with what I’m currently reading, The Power of One More by Ed Mylett. I’m thoroughly enjoying what I’m reading and have read thus far; Mylett is giving a blueprint on what he does to operate at a high level and there’s ingenious ideas like breaking one’s day into three parts or mini days.
I’ll be posting updates.
Who knows how else Mylett will influence Bolo?

Books Not Bookies
Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki
Opened my eyes and mind to the art of money. Make your money work for you. Assets over liabilities. This book was the first book I read on the journey to acquiring wealth.

The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene
An intellectual read that may not be applicable to all areas of one’s life. For this reason, many of the 48 laws may go over people’s heads. Still a great read, even though we live in modern society. It’s an even better read for history nuts, which I am, as it mainly draws from historical events and figures. Chapter 47: Do Not Go Past the Mark You Aimed for; In Victory, Learn When to Stop is still engrained in me to this day.

The Motivation Manifesto by Brendon Burchard
The time I picked this read up was also when I felt a tremendous amount of motivation. Of course, the book helped rekindle that fire but ever more importantly I understood that motivation, although real, is trumped by discipline and habit.

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
I read this as I committed myself to the acquisition of wealth. Think and Grow Rich is the most influential book I’ve read thus far. Never had my books considered the relationship between money, the mind and what is spiritual. I had never read on the importance of desire and the power of thoughts and our subconscious minds. Hill picked from the minds of the wealthy and successful to find commonalties and now, all that information is ours. This was my introduction to visualization and even using my imagination to see myself wherever and with whatever or whoever; I started visualizing myself with the successful people who will one day be part of my inner circle.

Can’t Hurt Me by David Goggins
I was either introduced to David Goggins by a pro mixed martial artist’s social media or Joe Rogan via his podcast; both being part of the same community. Learning David Goggins story gave me power. Reading the words on those pages gave me power as it reinforced my underdog mentality and was a written example of the hardest working savage I endeavor being.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey
This took me into the science of becoming a better human. This book made me addicted to self-development. The book presents an entire system for one to follow so that he or she may achieve maximum effectiveness as a human being. This is an absolute treasure, although the writing style is more text bookish; its value is in its system. In order to learn and grow, all one needs is an effective system.

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck by Mark Manson
From childhood to adolescence, I’ve overly cared what people think of me. This went on into my early twenties until I gained much wisdom and have made vast improvements on my values and ultimately, my identity. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck helped reinforce my efforts in shaping my identity in a less serious, more comedic way of writing than any other book in this article.

How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie
My people skills are typically on point but every now and then I find myself tapping back into the teachings of Dale Carnegie. How to Win Friends and Influence People provided me a great foundational system for my everyday interactions and relationships.

The Secret by Rhonda Byrne
My favorite out of all the books named. The first time I became aware of the Law of Attraction and realized how the law occurred in my life. The Secret showed me a different approach to thinking.
From reading, I learned how to word what I was telling myself in order to feel positive. I learned the importance of gratitude which has changed my life. Gratitude is being happy with everything one receives.
The Secret teaches what to think and the actions to take behind what one thinks. Also, because I don’t come from wealth, my family influenced me to think in ways of scarcity, when in truth there is an infinite abundance of anything and everything one desires!
I always keep a supply as I’m always giving The Secret away.
