If most wake to phones or children or nightmares or to use the bathroom how does one ensure one will be at one’s best?
Truly now, beginning one’s day with intention, with strategy, with procured emotions of one’s choosing, having already visualized what one accomplishes for the day is a habit that can change one’s life trajectory.
It can be the catalyst to becoming a better man or woman.
It can be the missing piece in a tremendous achiever’s daily routines.
It can reshape the thought patterns of someone sickly or disturbed and those who side with negativity.
It is the everyday starting line to everything one wants in life!
Pair this with its fraternal twin to win over the entirety of twenty four hours. With the absence of sunlight, she wears darkness and many will succumb to her arrival. Oh, she is menacingly beautiful but our lustful desires must be contained! The lady is the night and we must be relentless with our counter. To the youth, she is the goddess of pleasure. For all, the greatest healer. In union, the siblings hold everything comprising our lives.
It’s on us to set the tone.
Day
First things first. As soon as you wake, think thoughts of gratitude for another day and for everything another day allows for. When your feet touch the ground you’ve already got yourself into a mental state of gratitude.
Gratitude is happiness for everything one receives.
Next, go over your goals. This means writing them down on paper. If they’re in your phone, don’t read from the phone, put your goals on paper. Looking at screens when you wake — it’s not just a distraction – it’s unhealthy. As humans, we need to see real sunlight when we wake up!
My Daily Morning Routine:
My personal waking routine is: wakeup, hydrate, read my goals twice, then pray/meditate over them. Then I’ll go outside for sunlight or practice breathing before I start work.

Night
Once you’ve completed the day it’s time to reflect on what happened. Think about what you did that was good or what didn’t go well. If you want to improve in something, visualize yourself doing it better.
You will also want to go over your goals again. Sleep is your chance to recover and repair the body; going over your goals along with reflection before sleep gets those positive thoughts into your subconscious.
End the day effectively! This means no screens before bed or any activity that prevents you from entering a relaxed state, apt for an important night’s rest.
My Daily Nightly Routine:
My nightly routine before sleep is: Read my goals twice, go over what I’ll accomplish the next day, prayer/meditation, listen to classical music, read for a little, then sleep.
