The Power of Discipline

You’ve heard the saying, “work smarter, not harder.”

The truth is working smarter is by working harder. Working harder IS working smarter. Because the smartest thing to do is invest the majority of one’s time, energy, and efforts in beneficial acts that get one closer to one’s objective. The SMART thing to do is complete what you would consider HARD and do those things FIRST to create MOMENTUM.

All the highest performers and those who have attained success work the hardest. Working smarter not harder has developed into a phrase that has been misconstrued into people being okay with being lazy. People became okay with thinking there is some shortcut that will catapult them into the upper echelons of society and their dreams. There are no fucking shortcuts, there is only the road. A more notable saying is the Buddhist saying, “It’s better to travel well than to arrive.”

Without getting overly philosophical, let’s get logically scientific with some physics. When Serena Williams was learning how to play tennis, how do you think she developed such mastery of the sport? By putting in hours upon hours of practice — à la time and energy.

You should already be working smart! So, when you work harder, YOU GET SMARTER. You gain valuable knowledge and experience which then becomes WISDOM.

What happened to wisdom through experience? What the fuck happened to wisdom? Miss me with today’s “wokeness”. I’m dodging that shit as it came out a pigeon’s backside.

Elon Musk is working his ass off by spending most of his time in effective actions that get him closer to his objective. The same goes for Bezos, Zuckerberg, LeBron, Ronaldo, or whoever.

Fuck the top because that shit is an illusion. Behind its illusiveness, the people who achieved their dreams all did it through HARD WORK. The reason they broke through is because they’ve been working harder than others.

Bottom line is most people are smart; The smartest work the hardest and get even smarter by working harder.

What this boils down to is DISCIPLINE. People want to avoid the struggle and pain it takes in developing and maintaining self-discipline.  This is the aforementioned time, energy, and efforts that must consume one’s waking day. In people’s minds, they desire a less difficult journey and pounce on perceived opportunities which can make it easier. How can one even trust these opportunities when they’re already looking for a copout, possibly even living their lives ineffectively, by not soldiering through the adversity and WORKING HARD? How can one even trust oneself when one’s conscious knows they want an out?

Hard work supersedes it all. And if it’s meant to be, it will happen.

So have faith!

Work the hardest you can by doing the most effective activities conducive to your dreams.

Master self-discipline and they can’t stop you champ. Because you’ve already won.
